これは素晴らしい。VCやエンジェルやY Combinatorなどのインキュベーターから資金をもらわなくても自己資金だけで立ち上げた企業の実例だそうだ。今をときめくGitHubの例が泣かせる。立ち上げ時には資金不足のために、一人は他の企業でフルタイムで働き、他の二人は下請けしていたんだって(USでITコンサルといえばたいてい個人ベースのシステム開発請負のことだ)。

ここには有名な37SignalsやAtlassianなどは入っていないから、実はもっともっと多そうだよね。こういうアネクドートは元気がでるな。
